Meet Farmer Brown — a red blend named after our vineyard manager, who has been tending the vines for more than 10 years. After a decade of early mornings, dusty boots and keeping grapes in line, so Logan Wines have collaborated with Farmer Brown and made a beautiful Blended red.

And if you know Farmer Brown, you’ll know he’s a little cheeky. Naturally, the wine is too.

So, what’s in the bottle?

Shiraz (50%) is the backbone, bringing juicy blackberry and plum, a little peppery spice and plenty of body. It’s the confident one in the group — bold but not showing off.

Grenache (30%) brings the charm. Think juicy red berries, warmth and plenty of easy-drinking fruit. It softens the blend and adds a lovely, sunny personality.

Then there’s Tempranillo (20%), adding a savoury, earthy note and a little extra structure. Every good group needs someone sensible, and Tempranillo is doing its best.

Together, they make a rich, juicy and beautifully approachable red. You’ll find ripe berries, dark cherries and gentle spice, with smooth tannins and a warm, savoury finish.

You don’t need to know your tannins from your terroir to enjoy it. If you like a red with plenty of flavour, but one that’s happy to sit down and have a chat rather than lecture you about wine, Farmer Brown is right at home.

Perfect with a barbecue, a hearty pasta, a good steak or simply a table full of friends and no particular plans for the afternoon.
