Clementine

2019 Clementine Pinot Gris

Clementine is a truly orange wine. Grown in the cold-climate of Orange, NSW, the orange colour is a result of fermenting the pinot gris on its own skins, providing the stunning colour, delicious texture and crunchy tang. And this orange wine is very Clementine, which is not only a delicious mandarin-like fruit (between a Mediterranean citrus and a sweet orange) but the name of the winemaker’s little girl who is also a wonderful mix of sweetness and spice and all things nice.

Our 2019 Clementine Pinot Gris truly is a natural wonder. A proper ‘natural’ or ‘orange’ wine, this Gris is fermented on skins like its brother Pinot Noir. This results in a complex wine with crunch, texture and a fabulous golden copper hue. Aromas of blood orange, wild strawberry and grapefruit with lifted jasmine and rose petal notes. A rich creamy palate full of peach, yellow plums and ginger spice, the Clementine meanders deliciously towards a long and distinctly tangy finish.
